Clear answers,
claim-safe.
Straight answers about how RADIO works, what we document, and what we do and don't do.
What does RADIO Window Co. do?
RADIO is a diagnostics-first window restoration company. We identify the window system, evaluate visible conditions, document findings clearly, and help move the correct restoration path forward — repair, sash replacement, full-frame replacement, installation, or coordination.
What makes RADIO different from a window dealer?
We lead with diagnosis and documentation rather than defaulting to replacement. We specialize in complex and custom systems — especially aluminum-clad wood windows — and the deliverable is a clear, documented plan you can understand and trust.
Do you only work on aluminum-clad wood windows?
That's our specialty, but we work across complex and premium residential and commercial window systems. The first step is always identifying exactly what you have.
Do you only work with one window manufacturer?
No — RADIO identifies and documents across multiple premium clad-wood manufacturers rather than pushing a single product line, so the recommended path fits your actual window, not a brand quota.
Can hail or a storm damage my windows, not just the roof?
Yes. Hail, wind, and debris can affect a window's cladding, seals, glass, and finish — and the effects aren't always obvious from the ground.
How would I know if my windows were affected?
Signs include fogging between the panes (a failed seal), dented or marked cladding, separated seals, or moisture near the sill. But visible signs aren't always present, which is exactly why documentation matters.
Why do windows get missed after a storm?
Attention goes to the roof, generalists aren't equipped to read complex aluminum-clad wood systems, and windows sit between trades — so the window portion is the most-often-overlooked part of a storm-exposed property.
Does storm exposure mean my windows are damaged?
No. Exposure warrants a closer look, not an assumption. RADIO documents whether the window portion is actually affected — clear facts, not alarm.
Do you document storm-related window conditions for a claim?
Yes — we provide claim-related documentation of the visible conditions of the window portion. RADIO is not a public adjuster and does not negotiate claims, represent policyholders before any insurance carrier, or interpret policy coverage. Any documentation we provide is descriptive — not a determination of what is owed or covered — and coverage decisions rest solely with the carrier and the policyholder.
How does the RADIO Method work?
Four steps: identify the window system, evaluate visible conditions, document findings, and restore along the correct path. Each step is documented so the right path is clear before any work begins.
What do I receive at the end?
A documented plan — what window system you have, its visible condition, and the clear next steps — written so owners, contractors, and reviewers can all understand it.
Will you always recommend replacement?
No. The path follows the documented findings. Sometimes that's a targeted repair or sash replacement; sometimes it's full-frame replacement. We don't default to an upsell.
What's the difference between sash and full-frame replacement?
Sash replacement targets the glazed, moving portion within a sound frame; full-frame replacement addresses the entire unit when the frame is compromised. The documented findings determine which is correct.
My windows are discontinued — what now?
We document the existing product and clarify realistic, comparable paths forward. A discontinued line often has no exact match, so accurate documentation supports an informed decision.
Is RADIO a public adjuster?
No. RADIO documents the visible conditions of the window system and prepares clear findings. We do not negotiate claims, promise coverage, or determine outcomes — carrier decisions remain separate.
Can you provide documentation for a claim?
Yes. We provide clear, organized claim-related window documentation — photographed visible conditions, measurements, and plain-language findings. We document facts; how they're reviewed is between you and your carrier.
Do you guarantee insurance approval?
No. We never promise approval, coverage, or payment. Our role is documentation and clarity — clear findings and clear next steps.
Where does RADIO operate?
RADIO actively serves DFW / North Texas (hub in The Colony) and the IL/WI Stateline (hub in Rockford), with regional service into nearby communities. Availability varies by project and region.
Do you serve Missouri, Kansas, or Colorado?
Not yet. Those hubs are in development. You can register interest through our contact page and we'll follow up as plans develop.
